Nancy N. Wren Born in Chapleau, Ontario, Canada on December 3, 1922 to Lily and Tom Smith. Survived by daughters Deborah Olson(Ken) and Theresa Bok. Sons Thomas Roney and John Roney(fiance Heather). Six grandchildren, five great grandchildren. Her brother Robert "Smitty" Smith, sister Hannah Heryford(Jim) and friends of many years, to numerous to mention. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Kennedy Wren. Nancy graduated from Portola High School in 1941 and went on to become a Registered Nurse. She was very proud of her nursing career, reluctantly retiring in her 60's. Graeagle, CA became her permanent home in 1960 and she enjoyed many camping trips to Lakes Basin. Long Lake was her favorite hiking spot. She enjoyed traveling and her time with family and friends. Nancy passed away January 6, 2010 after a brief illness with her family by her side. The family would like to thank the entire staff of Eastern Plumas District Hospital for their kindness and special care given to our Mother. She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her family and friends. There will be a celebration of her life at the Calpine Elks Lodge in Maybe, CA on Sunday, February 28th at 1:00 pm.
